As an insurance broker we represent the interests of our clients and provide our advisory and intermediation services in compliance with the statutory obligation to act honestly, fairly and professionally in the best interests of our clients.
3. Shareholdings
AP Pointner Finanz Ltd. & Co KG holds neither directly nor indirectly a holding of 10 % or more of the voting rights or of the capital of an insurance undertaking.
Likewise, no insurance undertaking and no parent undertaking of an insurance undertaking holds, directly or indirectly, a holding of 10 % or more of the voting rights or of the capital of AP Pointner Finanz Ltd. & Co KG.
4. Advice, market analysis and product selection
We act as an insurance broker and adviser in insurance matters and, within the scope of our brokerage mandate (Maklerauftrag), represent the interests of our clients.
We provide advice on the insurance products we arrange. Our advice is based on the wishes and needs you have made known to us and on a risk analysis appropriate to the circumstances of the individual case.
The aim of our advice is to arrange the best possible insurance cover according to the circumstances of the individual case.
Our recommendations are based on a fair and personal analysis of the market. We are not under a contractual obligation to work exclusively with one or more particular insurance undertakings.
In our market analysis we take into account a sufficient number of the insurance products and insurance undertakings that are suitable for the respective need and available on the relevant market. To support our market analysis we use, in particular, comparison, calculation and information programmes as well as other suitable market information.
Any limitation of our representation of interests or of our market analysis to particular local markets or particular insurance products is made only for objectively justified reasons. We will expressly inform you of any such limitation.
Our recommendation is not based solely on the level of the insurance premium, but also takes into account in particular the scope of benefits and cover, excesses, contractual terms and other qualitative criteria relevant to you.
5. Type of remuneration
For our activity we may be remunerated in the following ways, depending on the respective mandate, the insurance product and the arrangements made with you:
- by a commission or brokerage fee (Provision bzw. Courtage) which is included in the insurance premium and paid to us by the insurance undertaking,
- by a fee (Honorar) to be paid separately by you, or
- by a combination of commission/brokerage fee and fee.
Where a fee is additionally payable by you, this will be agreed separately before the corresponding service is provided.
In addition, we may receive ongoing servicing or portfolio commissions from insurance undertakings, which are likewise included in the insurance premium.
We will inform you of the type of remuneration applicable to the respective insurance contract in accordance with the statutory information obligations.
